About BNW Builders
In 1989 I was given the opportunity to take over a replacement window company in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Just out of college and originally from Chicago, my title of Vice President and part owner of the company was a welcomed challenge. To centralize the operations that covered the entire state of Virginia, the company's headquarters was moved to Richmond, Virginia in 1990. After many years that included traveling up and down Interstates' 64 and 95, it was time to stay closer to home and spend more time with my wife and children. I decided to resign and open up my own company and focus my business on the local Richmond communities. In April 2004, BNW Builders was born.
About Our Staff
Tim, my Production Manger, also known as "my right hand man", heads the BNW Builders' staff. His twenty years of experience in our industry has allowed him to see everything and expect anything. Tim is hard working and trustworthy and has been a fabulous addition to our team. When Tim is not at work he is either spending time at home with his wife and children or at Church band practice. Tim is an avid musician.
Bonnie, my personal assistant has been involved in our industry over thirty years. Her knowledge is invaluable to me. Bonnie has become somewhat of a mother figure to me. Her work dedication to my company and me is invaluable. Give us a call or stop in our showroom and you will meet an exceptional Lady. When Bonnie is not a work she enjoys spending time with her true joys in life, her children and grandkids.
Our Vice President of Operations Wayne, also known as our "showroom diva" has worked with me for sixteen years. In addition to running the showroom, Wayne performs double duty as my Sales Manager. He is a true asset to our company. In his spare time Wayne likes to spend time with his wife, watch STEELER football, and ride his Harley.
Gus "the walking encyclopedia", our on staff photographer, can often be found on jobsites taking numerous photos of our work in progress. In his spare time Gus likes to read books about anybody and anything, especially alternative energy. Gus is one of the nicest people I know.
Scott runs my roofing division. Scott has been another fabulous addition to our team. He works countless hours running the roofing division and occasionally doubling as a "salesman". In his spare time Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and son Blake.
BNW Builders prides itself with specialized installers. Specialization gives attention to detail, as they are masters of their trade. All of my window and door specialists have more than twenty years experience each. In 2008 BNW Builders achieved the Platinum Certified Replacement Dealer Level Award from Milgard Windows and Doors. I credit much of this award to my Window and Door specialists for their installation excellence. My dedicated siding installers have a minimum of ten years experience each. Their hard work is a main reason why we were selected by Royal Building products as their only Gold Crown Dealer in the Richmond area. Our dedicated roofing installers also have a minimum of ten years of roofing experience. In 2008 Our roofing supplier GAF-ELK, the largest in North America, rewarded the tireless work ethic and extreme pride in our workmanship by giving us Master Elite Status. Only 3% of roofers in the United States have achieved this level. In 2010, GAF-ELK recognized BNW Builders as one of only thirty-one contractors in the country to receive ALL three of the prestigious GAF-ELK Master Elite Excellence Awards! Way to go guys! Make sure to watch or read testimonials from our customers - we have 200 full length written testimonials about our wonderful staff and product on our testimonial page.
Special Thanks
By the grace of God and my twenty years of experience in the industry, BNW Builders has turned into one of the top full service home improvement companies in the country. My previous years of experience and various Q and A sessions with my father-in-law, a Retired Air Force Colonel, has taught me how to make my business successful. His ethics are of the highest caliber and the wisdom he continues to bestow upon me is priceless. I credit a big part of my personal success to him. He truly is a remarkable human being.
My wife is the love of my life. Laura is my backbone. Without her, there is no way that I would be where I am right now. Laura's patience and understanding has allowed me to spend countless hours at the office and on jobsites while she holds down the fort at home. Laura understands the importance of how to treat our clientele as well as our employees and knows my customer service is of strong value. In addition to working part-time as a physical therapist, Laura is a wonderful mother to our three children. I don't know how she does it.
Sincerely,
Bruce
